Earthworm Gold is a stabilized, finely divided peat-like material with a low Carbon-to-Nitrogen ratio, high porosity and a water-holding capacity that contains most nutrients in forms that are readily taken up by the plants.
Earthworm Gold is produced by composting raw manure and other organic material until it has decomposed into a form acceptable to earthworms. Thousands of earthworms are then put into this material to digest it. The digested material is sieved, to recover the worms, washed, dried and bagged as Earthworm Gold. It can also be pelletized for ease of handling.
